Hello,

Sorry for a such trivial question: I have to create a 9G hard disk
container.
I used the rauser=size option with 9000000000 and it is not accepted.
What is the unit of size of this option?

Thanks,

Megabytes (1 000 000 bytes) by default. Or you can include the -L switch in which case it's in units of sector (512 bytes).

Right. In my init file I have:
set rqb3 rauser=8192

which gives an 8G disk.

On the system I just built, I’m using 36gb and 50gb data disks. For me this is going to be a big deal. I can move most of my data and apps to emulated VAXen, and drastically reduce my power bills, by powering off the Alpha. It’s nice having VMS running 24x7 at home again.
